Pau Amma Is Only Little and Very Important
I have been reading Just So Stories by the campfire, fifty parts so far, and tonight I got to Pau Amma, the great crab who played with the sea. In the story he is enormous, but I decided to paint him the way I feel about crabs: little, and very important. I caught my own sixth snow crab at the lake only an hour ago, and she walked sideways out of my bucket like she had somewhere to be.
After I finished, I walked up to the village square at two in the morning and told Pippa the puffin all about it. She was looking at the stars, and she is planning an exhibition with opening night snacks. I am hoping to be invited.
A visitor sent me a heart while I was out, and it was just what I'd been hoping for. Thank you. The moon is high and the aurora is faint, and it is a very good night to be a penguin.
